The butchery is the heart & soul of Aune Valley Meat. The butchery business was created some 30 years ago, for the local farmers home use trade.

The whole animal butchered to the customers requirement. Today stock is taken to the local abattoir at Ashburton then returned to the Loddiswell Shop. The carcasses are hung for a minimum of 21 days then broken down in the shop.

All of the meat used in the Deli & on the menu in Valley View Cafe is provided by the butchery department, including their amazing sausages, burgers & steaks.
